Bianca's Last Secret

Chapter 12 - Bianca's Last Secret
Leah spent days refusing to believe Bianca had betrayed anyone.
Then Adrian found the final bank records.
Bianca had not ordered Leah's mother's disappearance.
She had paid someone to make it look like one.
The plan had been to protect her from Daniel and Marco.
But something went wrong.
Leah's mother became sick.
The people helping her could no longer keep her hidden.
Bianca took Leah because she knew the danger would eventually reach her daughter.
The cruelty of it was that every lie had begun as an attempt to save someone.
That did not make the lies harmless.
Leah understood that now.
Dante came to her apartment one evening.
“I found Daniel.”
Leah's heart stopped.
“Where?”
“Manhattan.”
They found him in an old private clinic.
He was ill.
Older than his years.
He confessed that he had helped Marco move money but had later tried to expose him.
He also admitted something Leah never expected.
Daniel had been the person who anonymously paid for Leah's education after Bianca died.
Not because he wanted forgiveness.
Because he believed he owed her a life untouched by his mistakes.
Before leaving, Daniel handed Leah a key.
“Your mother left this for you.”
The key opened a small box.
Inside was a photograph of Leah and Nora as children.
On the back were seven words.
Find the man who never wanted the money.
Leah looked at Dante.
“Who is that?”
Dante's expression changed.
“Me.”
He explained that he had refused every inheritance connected to the corrupt accounts.

That refusal had made him a threat to Marco.
Leah finally understood why Dante had spent years living like a man under siege.
He had been trying to dismantle a family system from inside it.
But there was still one unanswered question.
Who had sent the woman to the gala?
The answer arrived the next morning.
Elena received a package.
Inside was a wedding invitation.
Dante Raviieri and Elena Moretti.
The date was three months away.
Leah stared at the invitation.
Dante looked just as shocked.

Someone had forged their future.
And the name printed at the bottom as witness was Marco Vieri.
