Sabrina Carpenter slipped into another look for a surprise performance with Stevie Nicks during Met Gala 2026.
Her sunshine yellow dress was covered in sequin fringing.
She also wore a dress covered in Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe portraits.
Sabrina Carpenter was certainly busy at the 2026 Met Gala. After walking the red carpet in an elaborate, inventive Christian Dior gown made of real film strips from the 1954 Sabrina, the singer slipped into not one but two more looks for a surprise performance during the gala alongside Fleetwood Mac's Stevie Nicks. One of these looks was a bold yellow showgirl gown covered in glittering fringe.
The daring dress featured a fitted bodice, which gave way to a shredded skirt made of nothing but sparkly long fringe that swung around her legs. The off-the-shoulder sleeves and the bodice were also covered in party-ready fringing that caught the light as she sung.

After wearing her hair in a retro looping faux bob for the red carpet, Carpenter returned to one of her signature looks for the performance, sporting a bouncy blowout with her famous curtain bangs.

Her third look featured Andy Warhol's Marilyn Monroe portraits.
Elsewhere during the performance, Carpenter changed into a halter bodycon maxidress featuring a colorful print of Andy Warhol's pop art portraits of Marilyn Monroe. Carpenter previously alluded to the Hollywood icon, recreating her famous bob last year.
For her surprise Met Gala performance, which comes on the heels of her Coachella headling set, Carpenter treated guests to renditions of her songs “House Tour,” “Espresso,” and “Please, Please, Please,” before Nicks took over as the evening's headliner. Carpenter reappeared, in her yellow showgirl look, for duets of “Landslide" and “Don’t Stop Thinking About Tomorrow.”

Last night was Carpenter's fourth Met Gala. She made an appearance at the 2025 soirée, wearing a pantsless maroon Louis Vuitton ensemble. A year before that, she wore a black-and-blue velvet Oscar de la Renta ballgown, and in 2022, she rocked a shimmering gold Julien Dossena for Paco Rabanne two-piece.
