Katie Holmes might have skipped the 2026 Met Gala, but she served up a gorgeous style statement just hours later in an ode to the Roaring Twenties. On May 5, the Dawson’s Creek alum turned heads in her flapper-coded twist on the LBD and a polarizing footwear choice as she stepped out at the Carnegie Hall's 50th Anniversary of The Concert of The Century event.

Holmes cosigned the fringe resurgence in a little black velvet dress that was dripping in string. Posing on the red carpet at the iconic concert venue, the Happy Hours director stunned in a midi-length sleeveless dress, which hugged her body through the asymmetrical skirt. Contrasting the streamlined bodice, Holmes’s skirt was completely covered in cascading pieces of fringe from her right hip slanting down to her left thigh, creating movement with every step.

Her dress complemented the asymmetrical design of her skirt with a black velvet tie on her left shoulder, letting the glossy material hang down to her hips. The First Daughter actress accessorized with a pair of divisive black slide heels which looked more like mules, thanks to a tiny peep-toe, a black platform heel, and an iridescent black-and-silver woven design in front.

The star styled her chestnut lob in a middle part with her signature effortless waves, showing off pops of golden highlights at the ends of the shoulder-grazing cut. The mom-of-one kept her glam minimal, accenting her features with a cherry glossy lip color and a champagne highlighter on her cheekbones and eyelids.

She posed solo at the May 5 event, but Holmes recently joined co-star (and ex-boyfriend) Joshua Jackson at the gala screening of Brunello: The Gracious Visionary in New York. For the April 14 event, the former couple sparked rekindled romance speculation while displaying their chemistry on the red carpet. Holmes sparkled in a floor-length mermaid skirt completely bedazzled in gray sequins, which she contrasted with a white dress shirt that she styled draped off one of her shoulders, exposing a black bra with matching silver sequin straps underneath.
