🔥Elara - Queen of the Flames - 🦁 Chapter 1: The Child of the Volcano 🌋

CHAPTER 1: THE CHILD OF THE VOLCANO

Eighteen years ago, the land of Aethelgard witnessed a terrifying natural phenomenon unlike anything ever seen before. The sacred volcano Ignis — the fiery heart of the world — suddenly awakened. But instead of spewing black ash and rivers of crimson lava as it always had, it shot a beam of blood-red light into the sky, dazzling and ominous, staining the snow-covered northern heavens in scarlet.

When the trembling earth finally fell silent, the elders of the Aethelgard Council, led by the Great Elder with silver hair, hurried toward the lower slopes of the volcano. Amid streams of cooling lava, hardened into glossy black obsidian, they discovered a miracle.

A newborn child lay there.

The baby did not cry. Her hair blazed bright red, soft and flowing like a living flame. When the Great Elder lifted her into his arms, he was shocked to realize her body temperature was so intense that it melted the frost clinging to his cloak. Then the child opened her eyes.

They were deep emerald green — calm, silent, yet carrying a terrifyingly unshakable will.

“The thousand-year prophecy… has come true,” the elder whispered with a trembling voice before the people. “This child carries the Bloodfire. Her name is Elara.”

Elara grew up in complete isolation. Her home was a remote cave far away from the villagers. Her body temperature was dangerously high — so high that even an accidental touch could severely burn an ordinary person. The village children called her “The Devil’s Child,” while the adults looked upon her with equal parts fear and caution.

The only person who dared come near her was the Great Elder, who devoted himself to teaching her how to control the flames flowing through her blood.

But when Elara turned sixteen, disaster struck.

During a training session near the edge of a cliff, a pack of wild beasts sensed the immense energy within her and attacked. Overwhelmed by terror, Elara’s survival instinct awakened, and the Bloodfire inside her erupted out of control.

“Stay away from me!” Elara screamed, clutching her head.

BOOM!!!

A pillar of crimson fire exploded into the heavens, unleashing a catastrophic wave of heat. The sheer force split the mountain behind her in half, collapsing it into a massive canyon. The beasts were instantly reduced to ashes.

When Elara regained consciousness and saw the devastation she had caused, horror consumed her. She stared at her burning hands as tears streamed down her face, evaporating into ghostly wisps of steam before they could even fall.

“No… I’m a monster,” she choked out. “I’ll destroy everyone.”

Ignoring the Great Elder’s desperate pleas, Elara chose to exile herself. She descended deep into the darkest and hottest caverns of Mount Ignis — a place no human could survive. There, she chained herself to ancient stone slabs, accepting a life of loneliness in the shadows, believing it was better to let the flames destroy her than to endanger Aethelgard.

A year passed in endless darkness.

Elara became exhausted in both body and soul. That night, the fever of the Bloodfire tormented her once again. Her entire body burned as though it were melting from within, while despair consumed her mind.

“Why me?” Elara whispered into the emptiness, tears of regret and agony rolling down her cheeks. “If this power was born only to destroy… then please, take me away…”

One tear fell onto the molten magma stone with a dry crack.

But instead of evaporating, the tear suddenly emitted a soft golden light.

Unlike the scorching heat of Bloodfire, this light carried warmth, peace, and protection. It grew brighter and denser until it formed the outline of a massive figure.

Then, from within the golden radiance, a legendary creature emerged.

It was a lion — majestic and enormous — with brilliant golden fur and a mane woven from the first light of dawn itself. Its eyes burned with golden fire as it gazed at Elara with absolute loyalty and understanding.

Elara stared in disbelief, momentarily forgetting her pain.

“You… who are you? Why are you here?”

The golden lion did not answer with words.

Instead, it slowly approached her, lowering its massive head and gently nuzzling her trembling hand. The moment her palm touched its radiant fur, a miracle happened.

The raging fever inside Elara began to fade.

The violent crimson flames in her blood finally found peace, retreating quietly as though soothed by the lion’s presence.

The lion lifted its head and released a low roar — deep and warm like distant spring thunder — echoing through the dark cavern.

Elara burst into tears again, but this time they were tears of happiness. She wrapped her arms around the creature’s massive, comforting neck.

“Were you born from my desire to protect?” she whispered with a trembling smile. “You’re not afraid of me…”

Her emerald eyes sparkled once more.

“From this day forward, I will call you Atlas. Thank you for coming to me, Atlas.”

Deep within the heart of Mount Ignis, the darkness was driven away by the harmony of crimson Bloodfire and the golden light of the Lion King.

And for the first time in her life, Elara realized…

She was no longer alone.
