Odessa A'zion exclusively tells InStyle about her first Met Gala—and the whimsical jewelry she chose for the occasion.
The actress wore over 6 carats of diamonds from Pandora to complement her artistic Valentino look.
“I loved that the Pandora jewelry added some subtle whimsy," she says.
Odessa A'zion made a dramatic Met Gala debut on May 4. Stepping out onto the iconic Met steps for the first time, the Marty Supreme actress leaned into the "Costume Art" theme as well as the "Fashion Is Art" dress code in quite the daring look.
“My first Met was incredible, I walked into this completely surreal universe, everyone looked like an art piece, it was amazing to watch and unbelievable to be a part of," she tells InStyle exclusively. "All in the name of keeping art alive.”

Using her body as a canvas, A'zion wore a dazzling Valentino look that featured elaborate bedazzled pink and blue nipple pasties shaped like abstract flowers, in lieu of a top. Two more flowers lined her arms. Meanwhile, an under-the-bust black corseted bodysuit, sheer tights, over-the-knee boots, and a sumptuous blue and black cape completed the look.
The actress kept the whimsy going right down the tiniest details, thanks to a few delicate touches from Pandora. She wore the brand's Infinite Pink Tinted Drop Earrings, which featured six carats of diamonds, along with an assortment of 20 dainty rings.

“The theme made us think to add and play with little surprises in the jewels! If you look closely you can see tiny flowers and butterflies on the rings!" she says. "Blue and pink matched the rest of the look well. Made it all click.”
To be precise, she mixed and matched with two sparkling pink flower rings, five sparkling blue butterfly rings, four pink heart bands, and four sparkling pink butterfly rings, and four sparkling pink bands. Each are available to shop on Pandora from $75 to $125.

A'zion completed her look with her own hair and makeup, featuring delicate face gems. “I do my hair and makeup myself,” the actress told Entertainment Tonight. “Yeah, I just have a problem with too many people touching me at once. I don’t like it. And I also just am so specific.”
